Safe Churches

Rouse Hill Baptist Church has completed the Safe Church Health Check and is listed on the Creating Safe Spaces website.

On February 1, 2022, the NSW Government introduced a Child Safe Scheme, which makes implementing the Child Safe Standards mandatory for organisations that provide services to children. The Safe Church Health Check assists churches in complying with the Child Safe Scheme. In addition to mandatory implementation of the Child Safe Standards, churches have existing legal obligations when it comes to providing activities and services to children and young people. Safe Church Health Check is a comprehensive review tool which assesses a church’s safe church practices against identified minimum standards for compliance with these various legal duties.

We have a Safe Churches team which has oversight of this aspect of our church life.

The Safe Churches Model Documents from the Baptist Churches of NSW & ACT are listed below. They are in PDF format and you can download and view them at your leisure.
